Superficial peels
With acids such as glycolic, mandelic, lactic or salicylic. They improve radiance, texture and pores with little or no flaking.
A controlled medical exfoliation that renews the skin from the surface: it lightens pigmentation, refines texture, helps control acne and restores radiance. We choose the acid and depth to suit your skin.

A chemical peel involves applying a solution containing one or more acids to the skin to produce a controlled exfoliation. The outermost layers shed and the skin renews itself, while collagen production in the dermis is stimulated.
There is no single peel: different acids have different effects and can be applied at different depths. Superficial peels cause little or no flaking and let you carry on with your normal life; medium peels work more deeply and need a few days of recovery. The choice depends on what you want to treat, your skin type and your phototype.
It is not the same as a cosmetic exfoliation: a medical peel uses concentrations and combinations that require prior assessment and professional supervision. At Centro Ubud we assess your skin before choosing the peel, prepare the skin when needed and give you an aftercare routine so the result is as expected and free of complications. For skin prone to pigmentation we choose more cautious acids and concentrations, because excessive inflammation can leave more pigment than you wanted to remove.
A peel can be combined with other treatments and is a good way to prepare the skin before other techniques. It can also be part of a maintenance routine throughout the year, with gentle peels that keep the skin radiant and even without interfering with your daily life.

Acids that regulate oil and clear the pores, useful for mild active acne and for improving the marks it leaves.

They work more deeply on fine lines and sun damage. They involve more days of flaking and closer supervision.

We carry out the sessions at our clinic in La Carihuela and review your progress to adjust the plan.
A quick in-clinic treatment, with a before-and-after care routine that is part of the result. Your habits at home matter as much as the session itself.
In some cases we recommend a few weeks of preparatory creams. It is best to stop retinoids and exfoliants a few days beforehand.
We cleanse the skin, apply the peel for the indicated time and then neutralise or remove it. You may feel itching or warmth for a few minutes.
Depending on the depth, there may be redness and flaking for a few days. It is essential to moisturise, not pick at the skin and use high-factor sunscreen. During those days we will recommend a simple, gentle routine without acids or retinoids until the skin has recovered.
Tell us what you would like to improve and we will explain, with no obligation, which treatment suits you.
