The bikini area is probably where traditional hair removal causes the most problems. The skin is thin, there is constant friction from underwear and the hair is coarse and curly, so shaving very often leads to hair growing inwards, ingrown hairs, spots and irritation. Hair in this area is dark and coarse, which makes it a good candidate for laser. And by reducing the amount of hair and no longer shaving, the skin calms down and the area looks better.
You can choose how far to go: just the outline visible with a swimsuit or bikini (standard bikini line), a Brazilian that leaves a small strip or triangle, or a full bikini. We treat the hair-bearing skin of the external intimate area; mucous membranes are not treated with laser.

How many sessions will I need for the bikini area?
Several sessions are usually needed, and the number depends on the hair, your skin type and hormones. If you have hormonal conditions such as polycystic ovaries, you may need a few more sessions. At the consultation we give you an approximate plan.
What is the difference between a standard, Brazilian and full bikini?
A standard bikini treats the outline visible with a bikini or swimsuit; a Brazilian leaves a small area of hair; and a full bikini treats all the hair-bearing skin of the external intimate area.
Does bikini laser hair removal hurt?
It is one of the more sensitive areas, because of the hair density and thin skin. In the first sessions you may feel hot pinpricks, which lessen as there is less hair.
Can I have it during my period?
Yes, in most cases it can be done using a tampon or menstrual cup. If you feel more sensitive that day, we can easily move your appointment.
Does it help with ingrown hairs?
Yes. It is one of the most noticeable improvements in the bikini area, because as the hair is reduced and you stop shaving, ingrown hairs and folliculitis decrease a great deal.
Can men have it?
