Grade 1
The skin looks smooth when standing or lying down, but orange-peel skin appears when pinched. This stage responds best to treatment.
Orange-peel skin on the thighs and saddlebags is not the same in everyone. We identify the grade and type of your cellulite so we can treat it with the techniques that genuinely suit it.

Cellulite is a change in the tissue beneath the skin. Fat cells grow larger and push towards the surface, while fibrous bands that connect the skin to the deeper layers pull downwards. The result is that uneven, dimpled surface we know as orange-peel skin. Poorer microcirculation and fluid retention add to it.
It affects the vast majority of women at some point, including slim women, because it depends heavily on hormones, genetics and the way fat is distributed. In women, fat tends to accumulate on the thighs, hips and buttocks, which is why the legs and saddlebags are where it shows most.
It is not a disease, but it can be very bothersome. The honest answer is that cellulite can be visibly improved, not made to disappear for good. That is why we propose a phased treatment and give you guidance to maintain what you achieve.
If orange-peel skin comes with tenderness to the touch, easy bruising and a symmetrical increase in the size of the legs, lipoedema should be ruled out; we will let you know during your consultation.
